| Home Sweet Home |
I married my very best friend on July 16, 2010, hands down the best day of my life. The presence of God was so evident at my wedding, a true holy moment. I was not stressed out, worried, doubtful, or anxious about anything. I knew that I was entering into the perfect will of God for my life. My wedding actually brought about major healing and redemption for my family, some of whom had not spoken since my high school graduation (we're talking almost 5 years). My amazing, wonderful, hott (with two t's), gifted, loving, sweet, devoted, godly husband is a kid's pastor, and the best at what he does.
I am also a certified minister and work at our church. I help my husband with the kiddos and anyone who really knows me knows how ridiculous that is... I used to hate kids. And I won't lie, they drive me crazy sometimes, BUT they make me laugh and I have learned so much.We are laying the foundation of Christ for so many kids, and it is very humbling. Becoming a pastor's wife as been quite the learning process, and something I'm not sure I will ever have down. I love being in the ministry, and can't imagine doing anything else, but sometimes it's hard. And sometimes I have to suck it up and put my ministry face on and love on people. I'm so thankful for where I am at in my life, and definitely thankful that God is full of grace.
We have a lovely little lady pup named Bailey, whom I am pretty obsessed with. I like to tie bows in her hair and paint her nails when she sits still long enough (or I hold her down with all my force). I talk to her in a baby voice and force cuddle her all the time, it's sickening. She's my dog child and I am not ashamed.

| Yes, he IS the size of a quarter |
This cute buddy is Little Guy, he's my turtle who lives in our bathroom. He resides here for two reasons:
1. We go into the bathroom everyday, regularly, so we are reminded to feed him and clean out his bowl and sometimes brush his shell. Isn't that adorable 'brush his shell'? It's true, he gets algae-y and has to be cleaned.
2. Our house can get cold in the winter (it's a cabin, duh!) and this is the warmest place in the house. Now before you get all, 'get that little guy (it's so fitting right?!) a heat lamp,' I promise you he's fine. I have the instructions that came with him and everything, and I follow them whole heartedly. He eats 'turtle delight' which I also find cute/funny but he seems to like it :)
We live in this cute cabin (are you sick of hearing cute yet?). When I moved in, it was very "rustic" to say the least. I am very thankful that the hubs has given me full decorating reign, fishing decor was not my thing ;) He has even jumped in to help, and is quite the painter/furniture refurbisher :D Love that guy. Some people make fun of us because we live in a cabin... We are in our early 20's and own our own home. Jokes on them.
Whew, I think that was some 'me' overload. But, that's me and the hubs in a nutshell! Stay tuned for more about our crazy little life!
